Ringling College of Art + Design | Motion Design Class of 2025

Every year the graduating class of Motion Design students at Ringling College of Art + Design creates a branded showcase of their collection of work before stepping into the wild. Prisma is a collaboration between a group of students who assumed roles and fundraised to organize one of our final college memories before graduating.

One central ray acted the initial teaser for the show. The next two posters expanded on the singular light, showcasing more complex and vastly different styles, while providing more event information.

When the posters come together, the rays align to complete the bigger picture.

We are a class of unique individuals, each with fiercely independent ideas and creative vision…

…Forming a dynamic community where diverse perspectives and boundless ideas collide into something truly beautiful.

CONCEPT

Our symbol, designed by Diane Lee and Rin Yokoi, combines the triangular prism that bends light (on the right side) and the separated light rays (on the left side).

A pathway purposefully cuts through the middle, creating a tunnel where light is transformed as it passes through the symbol.

Prisma is a brief visual representation of our college journey leading up to the show. Each of us came from different walks of life, meeting to explore a craft together. Yet, we diverge again at the end of the show, with a variety of styles, mindsets, and destinations ahead.

That is Prisma in essence. A point where we converge and diverge to create something beautiful.
